Our History
TSAN — The Scout Association of Nigeria, formerly known as the Boy Scout of Nigeria (BSN), is one of the oldest and largest youth organizations in Nigeria.
Founded on 21 November 1915 during the British colonial era by Lord Frederick Lugard, scouting in Nigeria has continued to develop young people into responsible citizens through leadership, discipline, community service, and outdoor education.
In 1942, the movement underwent a major restructuring and was formally registered as The Boy Scout Association of Nigeria under the Companies Allied Matters regulations of that era.
